Health Requirements: A Yellow Fever vaccine and anti-malaria medication are both recommended for visitors arriving to the jungle towns of Coca and Lago Agrio. You will need to start taking the medication before arrival to Ecuador (

Climate: The Amazon region is humid and warm with frequent rain, especially from June to November.
Air Transportation: ICARO has three flights per day from Quito to Coca except on Sundays.
Population: The Amazon basin is inhabited mostly by indigenous tribes, many of them nomadic and difficult to tabulate.
Packing list: You should pack in one medium sized duffel or large backpack. Items to pack include: binoculars, flashlight, poncho, insect repellant, hat, plastic bags, water bottle or canteen, scentless sunscreen, small backpack, t-shirts, scarf or bandana, long sleeve shirts, lightweight long pants, tennis shoes, rubber thongs, socks, bathing suit, camera / film.

Passengers in flights Quito – Coca are allowed to check in a maximum of 20kg per person plus a carry on – hand luggage with reading material, camera, binoculars and personal documents. Additional or excess baggage is charged directly by the airline by pound.
